"the ocean feels like going home…
only… it’s too cold to be too welcoming…
although, you could say that the cold is natural..
it is more natural than fighting, resisting…
resisting laws of thermal conductivity…
in the ocean, we are going home…
we are letting the struggle end for a moment…
letting the waves overwhelm us,
if only just for a second,
to have their way and not ours…"

"the temptation is to believe that just because something ‘functions’, it is not broken.
similarly, the temptation is to believe that if something is ‘broken’, it does not function.
and again,
the temptation is to believe that something which ‘works’, is not complete and can be ‘improved’ upon."

i think the dictionary is interesting for things such as this… sometimes they have interesting definitions… and other times it is this… truth… in a sense… slipping by un-noticed by everyone else… ‘contrary to the laws and customs of society’…

and then the thesaurus… again… hidden things, slipping by…
connotations revealed… it really is true though. in the eyes of everyone else, it is ‘crazy’. because in our post-modern and ‘plugged-in’ society, it really becomes baffling to some people that someone cannot bother to give a care… or care to make the effort to fake it…

i believed i could get through the day without hating myself… i believed i would not have to cut myself… i believed i was important to others… even to just a few… i have believed i could get through the day without thinking about death… i believed i was sufficient… i once believed i had a future…
at least i was able to clear things up…
